SUMMARY:

For the accelerated multiplication of genetically superior animals, making the most of the use of high-value matrices and increasing the quality of the herd. Those who master these technologies and achieve the greatest reproductive gains in terms of genetic improvement also stand out when offering products of international standard, strengthening their export capacity. This directly influences the sector's economy and the market value of the animals and products derived from them. In this sense, research into culture media, such as optimizing the composition of IVF media, seeks to mimic the uterine physiological environment to create a suitable laboratory microenvironment to overcome challenges such as oocyte quality, embryo cryotolerance, and pregnancy rates, contributing to the efficiency and sustainability of IVP. Therefore, this study investigates the effect of adding platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to the in vitro fertilization (IVF) medium for the in vitro production of bovine embryos. PRP is known to contain growth factors such as FGF, TGFβ, PDGF, IGF, and EGF, as well as cytokines, serotonin, and adhesion molecules, which can influence the in vitro fertilization environment. The experiment will use matured bovine oocytes, which will be placed in petri dishes containing IVF medium supplemented with different concentrations of PRP. We will test 4 different experimental groups: control group (no supplementation), group with 2.5%, 5% and 10% PRP respectively. The embryos obtained from these groups will be evaluated for cleavage rates, blastocyst formation rates and relative expression levels of embryonic quality marker genes: OCT4, IFNT, HSP70, GLUT1 and SOD2. Based on these results, we will try to understand the effects of supplementation and also determine a standardization of the appropriate concentration for embryonic improvement and development.
