INFLUENCE OF REPRODUCTIVE INDICES ON THE REPRODUCTIVE EFFICIENCY OF NELORE COWS RAISED IN THE AMAZON HUMID TROPIC

The analysis of reproductive indices in properties, containing animals belonging to production systems, mainly cutting, are considered of high importance in the issue of identifying several problems related to the reproductive management of these animals. Thus, the objective was to obtain and evaluate reproductive indices of different categories of Nellore females and verify the influence on the reproductive performance of these animals. The information for carrying out the study was obtained from a selected property within the Arco do Deforestation region of the Amazon, located in the municipality of São Miguel do Guamá. The property's herd has been developing through the practice of artificial insemination, currently consisting of Nelore and F1 Nelore x Angus animals. The information used for this retrospective study refers to the year 2020, originating from spreadsheets of the female reproductive nature, obtained through services contracted by the property for data management. From the present information of 3451 females, the reproductive indices will be calculated, being them service period, calving interval, estrus detection rate, conception rate, pregnancy rate and discard due to reproductive failures. The calculations of the indices will be carried out for each of the categories of females present on the property, being heifer, primiparous and multiparous. After obtaining all the information, a descriptive statistical analysis will be performed, in which the values will be analyzed at a 5% significance level.
