GENE EXPRESSION OF microRNAs IN MAMMARY NEOPLASMS OF CATS
Breast tumor, miRNAs, contraceptive
In female cats, mammary tumors occur more frequently after eight years of age. Several biomarkers are studied in medicine, among them are micro ribonucleic acids (miRNAs). MiRNAs are tiny molecules that destabilize in the presence of various pathologies such as cancer and have attracted attention due to their diagnostic potential. Therefore, the study will aim to detect the expression levels of miRNAs in the breasts of female cats with neoplasias that have or have not used contraceptives compared to the breasts of healthy cats.
