RISK FACTORS ASSOCIATED WITH BOVINE MASTITIS IN MILK PROPERTIES IN THE MICROREGION OF PARAUPEBAS IN THE STATE OF PARÁ
Inflammation in the mammary gland, dairy cattle, CCS.
Milk cattle farming is an important agricultural activity for Brazilian agribusiness, especially for small producers. In this way it is important to understand the reality of dairy activity in the region regarding the risk factors of mastitis, since it is a common disease in dairy herds and causes great damage. The objective of this study was to evaluate the main risk factors for the occurrence of bovine mastitis, as well as the hygiene indicators at milking in the Parauapebas-PA microregion located in the southeastern mesoregion of the state of Pará. 2018 to March 2019, where samples of 42 milk production units were collected. A structured form was applied to each of the properties. After the application of the questionnaires, a sample of 40ml of milk was collected in the individual tanks and brasses present in each property from November 2018 to March 2019, in which it was sent to the official laboratory of the Brazilian Milk Quality Network (RBQL) accredited by the Ministry of Livestock and Food Supply (MAPA) for the microbiological analysis of Somatic Cell Count (CCS) and Total Bacterial Count (CBT). The variables related to the technological characterization of the productive units were used in the factorial analysis and the cluster analysis were: production level, CCS and CBT. The variables considered in this analysis were milk production, CCS and CBT. Additionally, the interpretation of the points in the graph and the identification of the variables of greater weight in the linear combination were made. The next step of the work will be to group the production units by ascending hierarchical classification (cluster analysis). Statistical analyzes will be performed using software R.
