Clinical and surgical series from a veterinary clinic, in the city of Santana - AP, from 2016 to 2023

The routine of veterinary and surgical clinical care is increasing, the demand for quality and specialized care to guarantee the health and well-being of companion animals is increasing. Most families today opt for animals instead of children. The work seeks to identify and analyze data relating to clinical and surgical care in a clinic in the municipality of Santana, state of Amapá with a population estimated by IBGE 2022 at 107,618 thousand inhabitants, a reality in many municipalities in Brazil. From 2016 to 2023, medical records divided between general clinical consultations, dermatology consultations, emergencies and surgical evaluations will be analyzed. Surgical procedures in the same period, divided into ophthalmic, musculoskeletal, dermatological, neoplastic and reproductive tractor procedures for the convenience of owners in preventing unwanted pregnancies followed by pathologies of the reproductive tract such as the Cystic Endometrial Hyperplasia (Pyometra) complex. The main routine exams carried out at the clinic during this period will be evaluated and divided into dermatological, cardiac, imaging, biochemical, hematological, serological, direct search for hematozoa, due to hemoparasitosis, (Anaplasma sp, Erliquia sp, Babesia sp and Mycoplasma haemofelis). Establish how investments in the clinic's infrastructure to perform surgeries, specialization of professionals for adequate dermatological care and availability of laboratory services contributed to veterinary clinical care in the municipality.
