SUMMARY:

The Amazon coastal ecosystem is considered biologically important due to the abundance
of fish in the estuary and the rich and diverse fish fauna. Native fish are likely to be infected
by different types of microparasites because their habitats are conducive to their
reproduction and development. specimens of myxosporidia are found in most organs of the
body of their hosts, being more frequent, swim bladder, gallbladder, kidney, gonads, brain and gills. among which we can mention those belonging to the phylum Cnidarian class
Myxozoa . In this sense, this project seeks to contribute to the identification of types of
eukaryotic microparasites of the myxozoa subphylum, found in fish of the species
Ageneiosus ucayalensis from the Araguari River, UHE Coaracy Nunes, municipality of
Ferreira Gomes, in the State of Amapá. The analyzed specimens will be captured by the
team of the research group for the Sanity of Aquatic Organisms of the Amazon (SOAA) and
assisted by fishermen from the region using a 30 mm trawl net between knots, cast nets,
fishing reels. The individuals will be packed and transported alive in thermal boxes with the
aid of battery pumps, for artificial aeration, to the Laboratory of Morphophysiology and
Animal Health (LABMORSA) of the State University of Amapá (UEAP), where they will be
allocated in aquariums equipped with electric pumps and filters, later parasitological
analyzes will be carried out according to the methodology of EIRAS et al. (2006).
