Isolation and molecular characterization of swine papillomavirus' DNA in the State of Pará
Papillomaviruses. Domestic pig. PCR. Genetic sequencing.
Papillomavirus is a microorganism that infects a range of animal and human species, with high species / tissue specificity and transmission by direct contact with infected tissues, resulting in benign lesions and occasionally carcinogenic lesions. The evolution of the virus is related to its various host species, parallel to the evolution of mammalian resources and attributes. Although, the existence of papillomatosis will be described in several animal species, the number of swine papillomavirus is poorly reported, demonstrating the lack of further studies on the subject. For such diagnosis, several methods can be used, such as macroscopic evaluation of lesions, histological and histopathological analyzes and polymerase chair reaction, the latter being effective for determining the type of virus affected in the animal.
