BUFFALO PRODUCTION IN A SUSTAINABLE CONSERVATION UNIT, APA DO RIO CURIAÚ, MACAPÁ-AP

The objective of this research is to characterize the production of the buffalo herd existing in the Sustainable Use Conservation Unit, called APA Rio Curiaú, located in the northern region of the city of Macapá (AP). A descriptive research will be carried out with data collected by questionnaire, applied to twenty buffalo breeders identified in three regions of the APA. The data will be grouped by category of indicators (social, economic and environmental) and subjected to tabulation, with the help of Excel 2016 software. Then, the mean and standard deviation of each indicator will be calculated, evaluated in concepts from 1 to 5 using Likert scale. It is expected to characterize the productive specificities of the existing breeding farms in different regions of the UC APA of Rio Curiaú, through the attribution of scores by the respondents participating in the research and to establish comparisons between these communities that make up this study. And thus characterize and evaluate the current situation of the activity.
