RESUMO:
  1. The Amazon region presents natural and topographic conditions that often hinders and increases the costs of the conventional energy distribution. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the use of alternative technologies for generating energy from locally available renewable sources. Pará is the largest state producer of açaí with 98.3% of the national total; hence, the residues generated in the processing of the fruit constitute an environmental problem due to the high cost for the scouts to carry out their correct destination. Thus, the present work aims to quantify the energy stored in the açaí residues generated in the Belem certified mixers, as well as group them according to their geographic distribution through georeferencing, in order to propose new collection methodologies for supplies of specific energy sources. The present study was carried out in the city of Belém, capital of the state of Pará. Initially, a quantitative survey was performed on the number of "Açaí Bom" certified beetroots. Then the geographic coordinates of the GPS mixers GARMIN GPSmap 62sc configured for UTM / SIRGAS 2000 coordinates were obtained. Considering that the pulping of açaí is performed semi-mechanically, the sampling of residues for technological characterization considered the type of mixer, the batter's experience and the location of the mixers. The percentage of residues was estimated in relation to the amount of pulped açaí fruits, moisture immediately after processing and the immediate chemical composition. The Upper Caloric Power, Lower Calorific Power, and Useful Calorific Power of the açaí residue were estimated, as well as totals of the minimum and maximum masses of the residues generated in the harvest and between harvest - seasons and energy stored in the state. The future stages of the work will consist of, by means of georeferencing, to group the producers as close as possible to generate certain amounts of energy. The minimum and maximum amounts of waste generated during the harvest period and one week per harvester were 485.10 kg, 646.80 kg, 323.40 kg and 388.08 kg, respectively. Based on the mass of waste generated, the number of producers to be grouped together for the supply of a 40kw generator for a week is respectively 14, 10, 21 and 17 mixers for the conditions described above. When PCS is used as the basis of calculation, the numbers of producers needed per group are as follows: 21, 15, 31, and 26. Given the large availability of the waste and the problem with its irregular disposal, the grouping of producers certified to ensure the use of açaí waste for the supply of small establishments through gasifiers or wood stoves proved to be feasible, with the potential to reduce the cost of electric energy and the disposal of açaí waste, as well as generating extra income.
