RESUMO:

The objective of this study was to evaluate the energy potential of different types of capoeira management, the effect of biomass removal on the productive capacity of food crops, and the socioeconomic and environmental viability of this raw material for bioenergy. The treatments related to the type of management were with one pass of the Tritucap: 1p and with two passes of the crusher, treatment 2p. Already the treatment referring to the withdrawal of the biomass for energetic purposes was adopted different types of sieves, to delimit the amount of material removed. Treatment T35mm, refers to the opening of the 35mm mesh in the sieves, the same to consider in T55mm and T75mm, in addition to the T0, in which the material cut and crushed was all intended for nutrient cycling (control). The design was DBC, with four replications. As variables of the work, studied the profile and the needs of the family farmers of the region, through semi-structured interview; the floristic composition of capoeira, quantification of the biomass of each treatment; soil fertility (EMBRAPA, 1997), chemical analysis (ABNT 8112/86), physical (ABNT 8112/83 and ABNT 11941/03) and biomass (ABNT 8633/83); the behavior of decomposing material; natural regeneration; weeding intensity; crop productivity (Maize and Cassava) planted in the area after trituration and biomass removal. The economic variables studied were: Net Present Value, Cost Benefit Ratio, Leveling Point, Minimum Price and Internal Rate of Return. The results indicated that in relation to the energy potential of five years of crushed capoeira biomass, it was considered satisfactory as a renewable source of energy compared to the raw materials already used in the bioenergetic matrix. Being that its energy efficiency can be increased realizing the drying in the open air. It is expected that crushed capoeira will be an alternative source of energy and that its use will not detract from the quality of the soil nor the productive capacity of food crops, which will also offer environmental improvement by reducing pressure on forests as a source of firewood, improved decomposition rate, as well as socioeconomic viability for family farmers, generating economic returns with low cost, income, optimization of rural production, diversity of products and services in small properties, if the minimum price of crushed biomass .
