RESUMO:

Orchidaceae is cosmopolitan and one of the largest and most specialized families among Angiosperms, with about 25,000 species belonging to 800 genera. The Orchidaceae family is included in the order Asparagales and is subdivided into five subfamilies: Apostasioideae, Cypripedioideae, Epidendroideae, Orchidoideae and Vanilloideae. In Brazil, there are approximately 2,500 species, inserted in 221 genera, while 403 species are reported for the state of Pará. The main studies of the family in Pará were carried out in the following locations: Serra dos Carajás (Canaã dos Carajás, Marabá, Parauapebas e São Félix do Xingu), Combu Island (Belém), Serra das Andorinhas (São Geraldo do Araguaia), Caxiuanã National Forest (Melgaço e Portel), great curve of the Xingu River (Vitória do Xingu) and in Abaetetuba municipality. Studies encompassing the flora of Igarapé-Miri are non-existent and the municipality does not have conservation units, neither of integral protection nor sustainable use. Therefore, the study aimed to carry out the floristictaxonomic treatment of the species of the Orchidaceae in the municipality of Igarapé-Miri. For this purpose, identification keys, maps of the geographical distribution and illustrations of the diagnostic characteristics of each species were prepared. Initially, a survey of the HCP, HIFPA, INPA, MFS and MG herbarium was realized to recognize specimens from the region. Later, field efforts were carried out in vegetation remnants of the municipality between September 2018 and December 2019, covering the three main types of vegetation found, campinarana, lowland forest and terra firma, in order to collect fertile botanical material. The herborized material was incorporated in the herbarium MG, with duplicates at the HCP. Orchidaceae is represented by 58 species belonging to 38 genera in the study area. The most diverse genera were Epidendrum L. with seven species, Catasetum Rich. ex Kunth with four, Scaphyglottis Poepp. & Endl. and Stelis Sw. with three species each, followed by Acianthera Scheidw., Anathallis Barb.Rodr., Aspidogyne Garay, Campylocentrum Benth, Dichaea Lindl., Trichosalpinx Luer and Triphora Nutt. with two species each. In addition, a new species of the genus Palmorchis Barb.Rodr. is here described, the distribution of Campylocentrum paludosum is expanded to the phytogeographical domain Amazon, and two new records are documented for the state of Pará: Stelis ciliaris Lindl. and Uleiorchis ulaei (Cogn.) Handro.
