Located in the southeast of the state of Pará, the Serra dos Martírios-Andorinhas is inserted in two conservation areas, in the Serra dos Martírios-Andorinhas State Park and in the São Geraldo do Araguaia Environmental Protection Area. Created in 1996, these two conservation units are located in the transition between Amazon and Cerrado domains, in an area of continuous process of deforestation called Arc of Deforestation. There are two botanical studies for the Serra dos Martírios-Andorinhas, but did not included bryophytes. The aim of this study is to accomplish a taxonomic study for bryophyte species of the Serra dos Martírios-Andorinhas, Pará, Brazil, observing the preference for environment and substrates, the pattern of distribution of the especies in relation to Amazonia and to the Pará State, and the conservation status of the species. . The collections were accomplished in December 2007 and in August 2018, by free walking in all available environment and substrates. In total, 133 species were registered, distributed in 26 families and 63 genera, which corresponds to 32.8% of the bryoflora of Pará. Of the analyzed species, 13 were new records: seven for Pará, five for the North region and one for Brazil. In relation to the conservation status, seven of the 133 species are included in the IUCN risk categories. The local richness and its representativity for the Pará State, especially for being an area of trasition of domains, reinforce the importance of the conservation of this area.
