RESUMO:

The conidial fungi represent anamorphs of Ascomycota and Basidiomycota, with great diversity of species. These fungi can occur in various habitats in association with different plants, whether in natural or planting areas. The species Bactris gasipaes Kunth (peach palm) is a plant with great economic importance for the agribusiness in the Amazon, for the commercialization of fruits, palmito production, use in the crafts and in dwellings. Studies on fungi associated with cultivated plants such as peach palm in the Northern region are scarce. Thus, this work aims to conduct a study of the richness and composition of the community of conidial fungi associated with Bactris gasipaes Kunth (peach palm) in three planting areas located in the Metropolitan Region of Belém and Acará, in the state of Pará. There will be four quarterly collections of decayed substrates (leaflets, petioles, rachises and scabbards) of B. gasipaes between September 2018 and June 2019. Additionally, samples of live material (leaflets, rachises and fruits) will be collected to extend the species richness and to detect the presence of possible phytopathogens. The collected substrates will be submitted to washing technique and incubated in humid chamber for up to 45 days, with observations in stereomicroscope. Permanent and semipermanent slides will be prepared for visualization of the fungal structures under microscope and later identification with the aid of specialized literature. Statistical analyzes will be carried out to evaluate the richness, composition and frequency of fungi between the collection areas, substrates and collection periods. For probable new species and/or new records for Amazon, Brazil, South America and Neotropic will be provided taxonomic descriptions and illustrations. Thus, it is expected that this study will increase the knowledge about fungi associated with B. gasipaes.
