SUMMARY:
Amazon posseses a wide diversity of species of Agaricomycetes macrofungi, decomposers, parasites and ectomycorrhizal organisms, which have economic, nutritional, pharmacological and ecological values. Forests on lowland islands in the Amazon are characterized as periodically floodable, with dense alluvial rainforest vegetation, however, there is still a lack of studies on fungi in these areas. Thus, the objective of this work was to carry out a survey of the diversity of Agaricomycetes macrofungi on floodplain islands in the municipality of Mocajuba-Pará, as well as to infer the phylogenetic relationships of lentinoid fungi, as well as interrelate with the chemical and biochemical composition of the species. For this, excursions were carried out on three floodplain islands in the Municipality of Mocajuba, in the state of Pará. Three collections were carried out on the Santaninha, Tauaré and Costa Santana islands, in the months of June 2022 and 2023 and November 2022. The species were identified through morphological analyzes of the basidiome and phylogenetics (marker: nrITS). Analyzes evaluating the chemical composition of macro and micronutrients were determined using an atomic absorption spectrophotometer (AAS). In total, 173 specimens were identified, of which 81 species were classified into 14 families, all species being new records for the site and six new records for Pará. The islands presented a representative index of diversity. The most prevalent family was Polyporaceae, with 36 species, followed by Meripilaceae with 11 and Hymenochaetaceae with eight. The Costa Santana Island presented the greatest diversity and the greatest richness. In relation to the study with lentinoid fungi, 20 specimens were identified, representing the genera Lentinus, Lentinula and Panus. Lentinus specimens grouped into five main clades. In the phylogeny, Panus species represent a clade with high Bootstrap support (100%), and in this study, P. lecomtei and P. strigellus were identified and confirmed. In the cladogram of the genus Lentinula, the species L. raphanica grouped in a clade with species of L. raphanica with a high support value. Regarding the chemical composition of lentinoid species, analyzes demonstrated that they are rich, mainly, in macronutrients (K, Mg, Ca and Na). This study is pioneering in floodplain areas of the Brazilian Amazon and contributed to expanding knowledge of the richness and diversity of fungi, as well as elucidating the phylogenetic relationships of lentinoid species from the Amazon, also increasing nutritional information on this group.
