SUMMARY:
The main interest in the study of community ecology is the search for patterns and properties that define or describe in a satisfactory way and with a good degree of predictability, the distribution, composition and assembly of sets of species that coexist. The purpose of this dissertation is to compare the structure and floristics of vegetation types in two Sustainable Use conservation units, in the National Forest category (FLONA). The FLONA of Amapá and the FLONA of Caxiuanã, in the states of Amapá and Pará, reespectively. In the Amapá FLONA, three types of vegetation were sampled: (1) flooded igapó forest, (2) upland forest at shaliow flooded forest and (3) upland forest at plateau, while in the Caxiuanã FLONA the following were sampled: (1) igapó flooded forest, (2) varzea flooded forest and (3) upland forest at plateau. A comparison of the structure and floristics of the upland forest at plateau between the two FLONAS was carried out. In the
Amapá FLONA, 5,883 individuals were recorded, totaling 497 species. There was no variation in the number of individuals, but there was variation in the number of species between types of vegetation. There was a clear separation of species composition between vegetation types. In FLONA, 5,756 individuals were sampled, totaling 325 species. There was a significant variation in the number of individuals and species between the three types of vegetation. There was a clear separation of species composition between the three types of vegetation. In the upland forest at plateau between the two FLONAS, 3,755 individuals were marked, totaling 400 species, of 321 in the Amapá FLONA and 248 in the Caxiuanã FLONA. There was no significant variation in the number of individuals, but the number of species was significantly higher in the Amapá FLONA compared to the Caxiuanã FLONA. There was a clear separation in the species composition of the plateau dryland forest between the two study areas. In conclusion, there are differences in beta diversity between the types of vegetation in the Amapá and Caxiuanã FLONAS and also in Gamma diversity in the upland forest at plateau plateaubetween the FLONAS..
