Ipomoea cavalcantei D. Austin. (Convolvulaceae), endemic to the Campos Rupestres da Serra Norte of the Carajás Region, in southeastern Pará. Due to its restricted distribution area and in danger of losing its habitat by the exploitation of ores. This study aims to find a form of conservation by in situ and ex situ means, aiming to describe the vegetavitate and reproductive phenophases comparing between the plateaus, in situ and ex situ; evaluate the physical and physiological attributes of the seeds as a way to assist in the establishment of ex situ conservation mechanisms of this species.
