SUMMARY:

The consumption of ornamental plants has been increasing in the state of Pará, especially after the event of the global health crisis, Covid-19, and it is necessary to understand how the market behaved in the face of this phenomenon. Therefore, understanding how the market stands before this event will be the starting point to identify the barriers of the link between plant producers and traders and also the consumer demand in the region under analysis. The objective of this work is to analyze how the supply chain of ornamental plants is operationalized from the risk management and resilience of the producers-companies dyad and consumer behavior. To this do so, on the one hand, we seek to understand how the dyad works between producers and companies that sell ornamental plants in the Metropolitan Region of Belém, from a perspective of risks and resilience; and on the other hand, to analyze the consumption of these ornamental plants in the state of Pará, in order to understand the behavior of these consumers for basis in firm actions that maintain the functioning of the positive dyad in the face of an unexpected event. The methodological approach is mixed, which will guide data collection qualitatively and quantitatively. Producers and consumers will use the quantitative method with survey application with producers and traders, respectively, in the municipalities of Belém, Ananindeua, Marituba, Benevides, Santa Isabel and Castanhal. For the marketing link, data collection will be through semi-structured interviews, in order to analyze in depth the information. In this step, content analysis will be performed using the Atlas ti.8 software.
