SUMMARY:

The coconut tree (Cocos nucifera L.) is one of the most important tropical species in the world, due to the great variety of products from its cultivation and processing. The process of obtaining seedlings has failures due to the heterogeneity of the parent plants for obtaining seeds, in addition to physical barriers imposed by the seeds themselves. These characteristics make it impossible to standardize and uniform germination and seedling emergence under field conditions. A strategy to mitigate these situations is the use of growth-promoting microorganisms in the pre-nursery phase, as these interactions have the ability to increase the growth and quality of young plants in the emergency phase, in addition to agree with the needs of sustainable policies in the Agricultural production. Therefore, the study hypothesis is that a species of rhizobacteria Bacillus cereus and three fungal isolates of the genus Trichoderma spp. increments the vigor and emergence of hybrid coconut seeds and induce more robust plants. The experiment was conducted in a commercial nursery in the city of Moju-PA and in the Plant Protection Laboratory (LPP/UFRA) in Belém-PA, where the production of microorganisms was carried out. Hybrid coconut seeds (PB-141) were subjected to 4 treatments: control, Bacillus cereus, Trichoderma spp. and mix (Bacillus cereus + Trichoderma spp.) for a period of 3 months, with weekly assessment of emergence parameters and biometric parameters, in addition to physiological parameters and dry biomass accumulation at the end of the test. The application of growth-promoting microorganisms stimulated the germination process, increasing the vigor and precocity of obtaining coconut seedlings. Biostimulants induced increases of up to 14% in germination; 18-23% in the vigor index; 11-21% in net assimilation of CO2 and 29.5% in root biomass, where the effect of biostimulants was more expressive.
