RESUMO:

The main objectives were to determine the basal temperatures, thermal requirement and duration of the main reproductive phenological stages of the açaí palm, as well as to determine and evaluate the partitioning of the energy balance in the irrigated açaí palm during the reproductive phase in the climatic conditions of the northeast of Pará, Brazil. The experiment was realized out in a 10-hectare açaí palm plantation, between 2017 and 2019, where a micrometeorological tower was installed and instrumented in the center of the experimental area to monitor meteorological variables, as well as weekly monitoring of phenology since the pre-flowering until the total maturation of the fruits in the municipalities of Capitão Poço and Castanhal. Posteriorly, the upper and lower basal temperatures were evaluated by the degree-days method, as well as the durations and the thermal requirements. The energy balance was obtained through the Bowen proportion method, and the available energy was partitioned into soil heat, sensible heat, latent heat and flux streams stored in the plant canopy. The variation of the meteorological conditions along the açaí palm cycle provided that the phenological stages presented different basal temperatures as well as different thermal requirements, and the flowering stage was the most sensitive with thermal amplitude between Tb and TB of 18.73 ° C while the maturation period showed an amplitude of 21.71 ° C. The total cycle duration was 316 days with total thermal requirement of 4545.98 degrees-days. The simulation of the reproductive phenology of the açaí palm by the degree-days theory showed to be an efficient method, presenting errors of estimation of a maximum of 11.89% for the culture cycle. In relation, to the available energy consumption the flowering stage was the one that presented the highest consumption of LE with 68%, already in the maturation of the fruit that was consumed less LE reached 63%; the sensible heat flux was 31% at maturity and 27% at flowering; and the heat flux in the soil showed little variation throughout the year with an average of 4.33% for the cycle. The effect of the heat laid up in the canopy of the açaí palm is irrelevant when compared to the other components of the energy balance because it represents only 0.16% of the available energy.
