SUMMARY:

One of the biggest bottlenecks of bauxite mining is to ensure the reforestation of the mined areas, mainly due to the low availability of soil nutrients that is constructed from the displacement and deposition of materials coming from the ancient horizons B and C of the original Latosol, which are called sterile and are commonly deficient in organic matter and also have low natural fertility. In the search for alternatives to improve the physical and chemical conditions of the sterile, the goal of this paper is to find the best dose and source of organic material to be incorporated into the mineral substrate for the formulation of a tecnossolo that can ensure the initial establishment of the vegetation cover and be used in the recovery of mined areas. Seven treatments with five replicates each were installed in randomized blocks: application of dehydrated organic substrate from mining refectory with dosages of 10, 20 and 40 t/ha, application of decomform wood with dosages of 10, 20 and 40 t/ha and control treatment without application of organic matter. As vegetation cover was used the Cajanus cajan which will have its growth evaluated from the total height and aerial biomass.  In addition, the physical attributes (soil density, total porosity and aggregate stability in water), chemicals (C.O., N-total, pH, Ca2+, Mg2+, K+, Al3+, potential acidity, potential CTC, effective CTC, V% and m%) and soil carbon stock will be evaluated. Statistical analysis will be performed from generalized linear models (glm) with two predictor variables (source and dosage of organic matter) for each response variable (growth parameters of Cajanus Cajan and soil attributes).
