RESUMO:

The açai palm (Euterpe oleracea) is a native species of the Amazon, its fruits stand out in the Brazilian and international market due to the flavor and chemical properties, such demand encouraged the growth of irrigated plantations on dry land. However, the water management of this species has not yet been consolidated. The objective of this study was to evaluate the productivity of açaizeiro under the influence of different water availability, cultivated in monoculture and intercropping and, under extreme weather events. To this end, an experiment was conducted in an area of 0.30 ha with planting of cv BR-Pará in the municipality of Castanhal-PA. An automatic micrometeorological tower with sensors for incident global radiation, rainfall, air temperature, relative humidity and water moisture content in the soil was instrumented. The plants were irrigated daily during the period of lowest water availability by micro-sprinkler, irrigation management was estimated by reference evapotranspiration (ET0) (FAO 56), with treatments being defined as: rainfed (TS), without irrigation water ; 50% of ET0 (T-50); 100% of the ET0 (T-100); 150% of ET0 (T-150%). Evaluations were carried out on 56 plants in each experimental plot. The efficiency of the use of water was evaluated and the economic viability of the use of irrigation corresponding to the crops of 2018 and 2019 was realized. The data were submitted to quantitative and qualitative analysis. The use of irrigation provided productivity throughout the year, with the irrigation blade of 150% replacement of ET0 providing the greatest productivity gains in all the evaluated crops, in 2018, the use of this treatment generated an increase of 42.11 % and 52.37% in fruit productivity in monoculture and consortium systems, respectively. In 2019, the gain was 41.07% (monoculture) and 38.00% (consortium). The efficiency of water use (USA) was maximum in treatments with greater water availability, with a maximum value of 4.70 kg ha-1 mm-1, while the lowest values of USA were observed in rainwater treatment, which was 0 , 94 kg ha-1 mm-1.
