RESUMO:

The varied use of coconut palm allows it to be of great relevance for the international market and especially for the producing countries. The necrotic mite (Aceria guerreronis) (Acari: Eriophyidae) is one of the main pests of the coconut tree, because the damages caused to the fruits contribute to the reduction of the size, liquid and solid albumen and commercial value of the fruits. The objective of this study was to analyze fruit yield losses of the following variables: solid (pulp) and liquid (water), almond, fiber, and endocarp albumin samples; to identify damages and severity of damages in 6 commercial hybrids most used; perform economic analysis of losses and correlate yields with attack levels of the mite. The experiment was carried out in commercial areas of the company SOCOCO® Ltda, in the municipality of Moju, Pará, for 5 months in dry coconut fruits, harvest point. The evaluated hybrids were: PB121, PB111, PB141, PB 123, PB 132 and PB113. The design was in randomized blocks. For the quantification of fruits and determination of the percentage of the severity index at each level of attack, a visual scale of 1 to 3 grades was used. The quantification of losses in the production was by weighing the fruits. The economic analysis was based on the production costs obtained in the company, relating them to the losses for the variables considered the most important, such as: solid albumen, water and fiber with the note of damage caused by the mite. The results showed that hybrids have different severity and damage scores over the evaluated months. The largest mass losses recorded were for the PB 132 and PB 113 hybrids, with approximately 39% loss of albumen. Fiber reduction of 26% for PB 123 and 28% for PB 111. Water, for hybrids PB 132 and PB 111, with 61% loss. The biggest economic loss was for the production of solid albumen, with a registration of up to R $ 2,925.00 in the ton.
